Tanking monk build
I was screwing around in RA and tried a stand and tank type build. I figured that since monks are always the primary targets, why not use it. The idea is to try and stave off monkstomp and heal your team as possible. So I ended up trying this:
WoH
Guardian
SoA
Prot.Spirit
Dismiss Condition
Cure Hex
Channeling
Balth's Spirit
With the exception of Balth's Spirit in the place of aegis and a lack of PaS, it's closish to a standard hybrid monk build. With good positioning or several people attacking you, you can just spam spells away. Anyways I know it isn't ideal but is it at least meh-to-fair?

Does the word Necro mean anything?
lol
It seems like one of those builds i do so relish tearing apart with Corrupt Enchantment to be honest i think
WoH
PS
Dismiss Con
Guardian
Vig-Spirt
Holy Vail
Dark Escape
Return
For me that build works wonderfully and a good monk should not be running out of energy. I have when played a Rt placed Balthazars Spirt upon a monk who was indeed able to spam a lot of heals. However to me Holy Vail wins over cure hex. The fact that you have no defensive stances is a big no no in my books Magehunters and other nastyies are to common in RA/TA now. Imo a inexperienced monk would be torn to pices but then again a more exp player might be able to use this build more effectively. But come against a CE necro with DD your dead.

Be like the rest of RA monks.
[word of healing]
[disciplined stance]
[defensive stance]
[shield stance]
[bonetti's defense]
[shield bash]
[wary stance]
[resurrection signet]
u'll b rly gud promis
No srsly, RA is full of talentless interrupt spammers and wiki hex stacking mesmers, so learn to use this build and you'll be golden.
[guardian]
[glimmer of light]
[patient spirit]
[signet of rejuvenation]
[contemplation of purity]
[mending touch]
[holy veil]
[resurrection signet]
I've gotten a ridiculous amount of glads with this build.

But then what about this? I thought res wasn't supposed to go on monks. I would always use WoH over Glimmer. And running up to Mending Touch someone else doesn't seem like a good idea. Wouldn't you need Draw or Mend Conditions also for it to work?

If you want added survival against monk stomp in RA, I'd just run dual stances. They're less susceptible to enchantment strips, instant cast and can be activated while KD/casting and the block chance can also reduce KD's or dangerous conditions.
I'd also take veil over cure hex. Without a team working with you, there's very little stopping you getting locked down by dangerous hexes and because of the nature of RA, letting that mesmer chain diversion and shame on you is going to lose you games without much you can do about it.
WoH as your only dedicated bar pusher also severely cripples you if it gets shut down in any way. Patient works wonders as a secondary heal while also being difficult to interrupt.
The standard RA Mo/W bar (Patient Spirit, WoH, Dismiss/Draw, Veil, Mend Touch, Guardian, Disciplined Stance, Shield Bash/Shield Stance) is probably going to be more consistent, although your still going to need to watch your position and because your resources are spread so thin, you need to get the most out of your removals and prots in order to manage energy.

how come no one make a W/Mo as a tanking monk. ??
(Patient Spirit, WoH, Dismiss/Draw, Veil, Mend Touch, Guardian, Disciplined Stance, Shield Bash/Shield Stance) say this build why is it not W/Mo instead ? since w will have more armor? could it be pull off, with the right equipment?

Monk should not tank at all. You may need a blocking stance such as Disiplined Stance etc.
